acccent_tri_blueWayne and Lynn Brush against people, challenges, and mother nature in their voyage of discovery.  Their experiences form a life sustaining elixir that diminishes the difficult times and encourages a continuation of the path less traveled.  A cruise of a lifetime!

acccent_tri_blueExcerpt From Book  –  When I begin to feel competent, I brag to myself.  My ego takes over and – something bad happens sooner or later.   Right now, I can feel the bad is out there down the waterway looking for me, searching, waiting, lurking, and biding its time, with a gruesome smile menacingly muttering, “I’m going to do bad things to you.” Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock.

acccent_tri_blueExcerpt From Book  –  I have fulfilled a long time dream of meeting Fred Fearing.  Little did I know that he would share with us his life and love story as if in memory of his beloved wife gone these many years.  When she died, Fred was devastated.   His life was void of meaning.  It held no purpose, no goals.  His life was no more than a vessel for excruciating pain of his loss.  Somehow perhaps because of his friend Joe Kramer’s desire to keep Fred busy, they started the Rose Buddies together.

acccent_tri_blueExcerpt From Book  –  Suddenly sensory overload jolts us into silence at the immensity of the river.  We stare in astonishment.   For weeks, we have been working a small river in an intimate setting.  The  tightly wound Tombigbee enfolded us in a cocoon of foliage.  Here, without warning, we burst forth as a butterfly into a brilliant expansive of water.  It feels as if an oppressive burden is shrugged from our shoulders freeing us of restraints.  We are here on the great Tennessee River at Pickwick Lake, and it is enormous and captivating. Tears come to my eyes.  We have traveled so far, twelve hundred miles during three months, and this is awesome.
